Currently Mark W Rocha is the President of Pasadena City College. It's a Community College, and part of a network that has employed Mark W Rocha for the last few years now. Currently his contract runs until 2016, and was just extended in 2012. He's also been President of West Los Angeles Community College recently. Mark W Rocha has plenty of administrative experience, and has grown to enjoy the administrative side of education more than even teaching.
But he is open to new opportunities and new challenges. Mark W Rocha has a PhD,and is always looking for new ways to put that education to use.
In the past Mark W Rocha has undertaken many different jobs. Starting as a teacher his career really began in Venezuela at the Universidad Simon Bolivar. There he taught English, taking on the biggest challenge he could by traveling to a foreign country. Then he returned to America to teach at Seton Hall, and eventually Humboldt State University.
That was where Mark W Rocha's interest in administrative careers began. Mark W Rocha then was given the Dean position at Humboldt, and used that to get the position of President at Santiago Canyon University.
Mark W Rocha would like to take his career as far as possible. Just as he took his education all the way, he would like to continue finding new challenges. As an administrator, Mark W Rocha would like to manage an even larger educational institution.
