Chad Nevins was born is Liberal Kansas and began his work with nonprofits at the age of 12 with his first of three trips to Costa Rica. The visits were a faith-based / medical mission with a family run nonprofit organization. With his father, a medical doctor delivering much needed medical attention out of a local Red Cross building, Chad served the local community in a variety of areas. He moved to Arizona to complete his Bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. His professional career began working in the financial services industry; with time spend at firms like Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Edward Jones Investments.
In 2011, Chad returned to his passion and began working at the Union Rescue Mission in Kansas. There, he developed programs designed to reengage the men utilizing the shelter services to facilitate finding the men gainful employment. The program is a continued success and at its core, shares the conviction of the Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E., to give a “hand up” not a “hand out”.
Chad is currently working at the United Way of Tarrant County as Grant Compliance Coordinator. At the Foundation for C.H.O.I.C.E., he will be working alongside the executive team and the Board of Directors to establish key relationships with foundations and grant-making institutions
