Biography

Joseph Chinnock is an aspiring novelist who founded A Writers Collective, an association of Iowa Workshop graduates who Joseph Chinnock leads in writing classes, and where Joseph Chinnock provides book doctoring and a variety of other services to help writers hone their prose.

Joseph Chinnock spent years in Nepal learning traditional medical practices and then turning them into profitable businesses back in the United States. While Joseph Chinnock is an avid outdoorsman, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, he most identifies as a writer and storyteller. Joseph Chinnock has spent the past several years completing work on his debut novel, The Alchemy of Nourishment, which he expects to publish in 2014.

For years, Joseph Chinnock worked with traditional doctors in Nepal resulting in the creation of the company, Tantric Formulas, an herbal tea line that was sold at Whole Foods and other leading stores. More recently, Joseph Chinnock has published short stories and excerpts from his novel, The Alchemy of Nourishment, in a number of prestigious literary journals. Joseph Chinnock was recently rewarded with a Colorado Art Ranch Residency, where he hopes to begin work on his second novel.

Joseph Chinnock's immediate goal is to get his debut novel, The Alchemy of Nourishment, published. Joseph Chinnock is well on his way to this goal with a number of leading publishing houses currently reviewing his work. Moreover, Joseph Chinnock is ready to begin work on his next book, a Hindu Sherlock Holmes tale that he will work on during his Colorado Art Ranch Residency.
