Ventre’s Medical Science Education
Peter Ventre began his studies in August of 1992 in the town of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, where he attended the University of Puerto Rico. Peter mainly studied science with a focus on biology in particular. He graduated in May of 1996 with his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and General Science.
Afterward, Peter moved to Caguas, Puerto Rico to continue his studies. He enrolled in San Juan Bautista School of Medicine, where he spent the next two years pursuing his graduate studies. He graduated in 1998, earning his Master’s of Science degree in Medicine.
With his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees out of the way, all that remained for Peter Ventre was his doctorate. For this he moved to the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He enrolled at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where he studied until May of 2001. He then graduated again, this time with his Doctorate of Medicine degree.
Ventre’s Medical Residency
Peter’s medical residency began in earnest in July of 2004, three years after his graduation from the Universidad Iberoamericana where he earned his Doctorate in Medicine. By this time, the newly minted Peter Ventre had moved to New York, where he joined up with the Cabrini Medical Center at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He was a resident in their Internal Medicine Program for almost a full year, from July of 2004 to June of 2005.
A month later, in July of 2005, Ventre was still with the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Cabrini Center. Now, however, he was working on his residency in their Psychiatry Program. He stayed in residency in this program for more than two years, from July of 2005 to September of 2007.
During September of 2007, Ventre moved his residency from New York to Gainesville, Florida where he took up work with the University of Florida, becoming a resident of their Psychiatry Program. Finishing up his residency here took him less than a year, and in July of 2008, Ventre was ready to begin practicing.
Ventre’s Early Career History
Although he is a medical doctor and psychiatrist now, Peter’s career did not begin at the doctoral level. Throughout his life and education, the future Ventre held down a number of other jobs and volunteer positions in a variety of fields.
Peter’s first job came in August of 1994 when he volunteered with the Rio Piedras Medical Center while still living in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Here he held the position of Unit Observer and Assistant.
After that, and after graduating from his undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Peter spent a year and a half working as a civilian lifeguard and professional rescuer. This position was with the Recreational Division of the United States Navy at their Roosevelt Roads Base in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, and it lasted between May of 1996 and October of 1997.
Throughout all of these different career positions, Peter also continued his work as a medical volunteer. From January of 1995 to March of 1997, Peter did regular work with the Department of Orthopedics at the Fajardo Sub-Regional Hospital in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Here his responsibilities primarily included acquiring insight into imaging and x-ray studies.
Ventre’s Beginning Psychiatry Work
In October of 2008, still fresh off his residency, Peter Ventre began work in a number of different psychiatric positions all at once in both Miami and Lauderhill, FL, most of them involving long-term clinical psychiatric drug trials.
The Beginning of Ventre’s Work Today
In February of 2010, Peter Ventre first opened Ventre Medical Associates, LLC in Oakland Park, FL,. In November of 2012 Ventre opened and founded Research Centers of America, LLC, where he is also a Principle Investigator on the clinical drug trials, which is also located in Oakland Park.
The year 2011 was also the same year that Peter Ventre’s accomplishments were recognized by Vitals.com when he received their “Most Compassionate” award, cementing his place in the community as a respected and successful psychiatric professional.
Although Peter Ventre has already built an impressive work history, including positions of leadership with multiple practices and organizations, he is not showing any signs of slowing down. In fact, having garnered a wealth of glowing reviews from satisfied and grateful patients, Ventre is just getting started.
Although it has already found great success, Ventre Medical Associates is still a relatively new practice, having opened its doors just two and a half years ago. As such, the company is still growing and expanding, and plans to take on even more patients in the near future.
Peter Ventre also plans to continue his work in clinical research. He hopes to continue assisting in the research and production of new and potentially life-altering treatments for a variety of serious mental health issues and diseases.
One such treatment in development is geared toward treating autism. While studies are still being conducted on the medication, Peter Ventre and other professionals in the mental health field hope that this new treatment may be able to help those suffering from autism overcome the often crippling social limitations that they face every day.
