Edward before the Family Business

He joined the Lehman Brothers in 1992 and stayed on with them until 1996. During these four years, he held the position of Accounting Executive. In this role, Edward Tuccio of Ridgeland faced many important responsibilities such as the following.
• Consulting with company clients on research design and business issues.

Tuccio Development, Inc.
In 1996, just two years after the Tuccio family real estate firm was founded, Edward left Lehman Brothers to devote his skills and experience to the new Tuccio Development, Inc. Here Edward was put in charge of the fledgling company’s finances as its Chief Financial Officer, a position which he still holds to this day 17 years later. His responsibilities here include marketing, securing financing for the company, and all necessary aspects of financial management.
Tuccio Development itself was established by Edward’s father and uncle, both of whom were second generation home builders hailing from Ridgefield. According to Edward himself, these two family founders built the company on an established tradition of both quality and trust. After gaining leadership control of the company themselves, Edward Tuccio, Ridgeland, CT real estate professional, and his brother Arthur naturally sought to continue this family tradition. Through their expert leadership, Tuccio Development has established itself as the largest and most distinguished new home developer throughout the areas of New Milford, Brookfield, and Ridgefield.
Philanthropic Endeavors
In addition to his position with Tuccio Development, Edward Tuccio of Connecticut is also on the board for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or JDRF, the leading global organization for the funding of research into type 1 diabetes. To better support this cause, Edward not only serves as a board member but also attends most of the organization’s events. In particular, he is very involved in their upcoming Walk scheduled for October 21.
For Edward, this is not just a humanitarian matter but also a personal one. At the age of 12, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and has been living with the condition for all of his life. This puts him in a position to truly empathize with all of those whom he helps through his work with this organization.
Over the years, while he has been focused and dedicated to his work with both Tuccio Development and the JDRF, Edward Tuccio has also made time to pursue many hobbies and build many skills outside of his career. For example, he is a huge exercise fanatic who has learned many exercise and nutrition techniques to deal with his diabetes. He has put these skills to the test in several marathons and a triathlon, all of which he undertook without any prior training. This includes the 1993 New York City Marathon, which he completed in under four hours.
Tuccio has also proven to be an avid golfer who has often played golf for charity events. Some of the proudest golfing achievements that Edward Tuccio of Ridgeland has include his picture with Jack Nicklaus and scoring a hole in one.
For over two decades now, Edward Tuccio has been powering through a successful financial management career, with most of these years spent growing and bettering his family’s business. However, despite this already impressive record of professionalism and success, Edward and Tuccio Development are both just getting started.
After having already built more than 1,000 distinctive luxury homes across the West Connecticut area, Tuccio Development’s next big goal is to top this number even more. As modern building technology continues to advance, so too does Tuccio’s ability to deliver top quality luxury real estate designs. Throughout all of it, though, they promise to stay dedicated to their tradition of trust and quality.
Beyond the family real estate firm, Edward is also looking forward to continuing his work with the JDRF and contributing to the fight against type 1 diabetes. He is especially looking forward to seeing the most recent fruits of his labor pay off in the October 21 Walk.
Edward also plans to continue pursuing his passion for sports, exercise, and athleticism. In addition to practicing his golf skills for upcoming games and charity events, he is also involved with coaching children’s hockey and baseball teams. Through this, Edward helps to keep kids active and mold them into future athletes themselves.
Edward also plans to pursue his love of traveling, particularly in and around Italy. He has already done extensive travel in the country in the past, and in some areas he has become very well known. Edward Tuccio's favorite destination in particular to revisit again and again is Calabria in Southern Italy, although quite different from his hometown of Ridgeland, Connecticut. This area he describes as a hidden treasure of a travel destination.
