Sometimes Brian can take shortcuts in sales or do things that may be seen as undermining in business to others. i.e. he used to work for me and started his own agency to compete with a business practice of ours that we moved out of. We were still servicing clients in that industry so when I discovered that Brian was selling the same service, using our vendors, and likely pitching to our prospects, I was pretty disappointed in him. Instead of coming to me for a blessing to do this (which I would have gave him), he instead stuck his labor lawyer on us as we may have been in violation of some technical labor law with hours worked for our salesmen. I guess he checkmated me.... My constructive criticism to Brian is to be more transparent with those that you work with and give you opportunities when you need them most. You're a super smart dude and are of much value to the world, just consider keeping it real with those that have kept it real with you. No one's an angel, but dang brotha, I was good to you and there was no need for you to go about trying to compete with the old company behind my back after I gave you a job when you needed it most. We're beyond that now, love you man, but on the real, don't do stuff like that in the future with people that believe in you and have your back. Brian Newmark is a top flight salesman that is a very smart businessman. I'm confident that Brian will be successful in anything he gets involved in.
