Dr Ting is an experienced general obstetrician and gynaecologist with more than 15 years of clinical practice experience in obstetrics & gynaecology (O&G) in several countries including New Zealand, United Kingdom (UK), Singapore and Malaysia.
Dr Ting is one of the few gynae-laparoscopic surgeons in Singapore to be accredited with Level II and III Minimally-Invasive Surgery (key-hole surgery) Accreditation by KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore.
She graduated from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand and then started her O&G training in the UK. She worked in several National Health Service hospitals in England.
In 2002, she moved to Singapore and worked in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she continued her higher training in O&G, in particular, MIS surgery (Minimally Invasive Surgery or key-hole laparoscopic surgery) and served as an Associate Consultant in MIS Department.
Following which, Dr Ting relocated to the Malaysian state of Sarawak, Sibu Hospital, to practice O&G. During her three years of service in the government hospital, Dr Ting had gained a wide range of clinical experience in managing O&G cases with advanced pathology. The largest uterus removed abdominally was 3kgs and the largest uterus removed laparoscopically was 1.1kgs.
