A leading name in the financial services sector, Bradley Reifler currently serves as the chief executive officer of Forefront Capital Management.
Forefront Capital Management seeks to be the premier asset management firm focusing on an underserved cross-section of investment professionals—that is, established portfolio managers running less than $250 million.
Brad Reifler is uniquely suited for this work, and he brings his own distinctions to the investment industry. The most unique aspect of what he does is that he is truly interested in community-building, bringing together many of the foremost leaders in the financial world. This focus on community has provided his company with strong credibility, and true authority within the investment world.
What is more, his company has a strong basis in investment experience. This level of experience helps clients—investors—to feel more secure when working with Forefront Capital Partners; it is ultimately the reason why so many investors choose Forefront Capital Management over its competitors in the field.
These important distinctions aside, Brad believes that the key to his success has been his passion for forging strong client relationships, as well as healthy relationships with leaders in the financial sector. The focus on personal relationships is something that has long served Bradley and his company well.
Finally, professionalism is something that Brad prioritizes. The company has acquired office space that immediately conveys its high level of services, and makes the company seem more attractive to potential clients. Projecting professionalism is something that Reifler places a high premium on.
A long-time financial services professional, Bradley Reifler is nothing if not passionate about the field of investment. In particular, he is zealous to help under-served investment professionals find paths to success—high returns and minimal risk. He does this through his company, Forefront Capital Management—which he founded and currently leads as the chief executive officer.
His Career Experience
Bradley Reifler is also the founder of Pali Capital Inc., an NASD member firm for which he served as CEO. Pali was acquired by the Euram Group in 2001, but a mere six years later it was bought back. At this time, he was made chairman.
This period brought Brad, and the company, immense success. During his tenure as chairman, the company’s revenues increased to more than $200 million per year, employees numbered over 200, and offices expanded from the United States to the United Kingdom, Austria, Singapore and various nations in Latin America.
Brad had other, even loftier aspirations, however, and he resigned from his duties at Pali. Then, in 2009, he founded and became the chief executive officer of Forefront Capital, a global financial services firm.
Bradley Reifler in the Past
His career history goes back much father than all of that. In 1982, he founded Reifler Trading Corporation, a firm devoted to the execution of global derivatives, which was sold to Refco, Inc. in 2000. Meanwhile, in 1992, he founded Reifler Capital Management, a commodity pool advisor focused on commodity-based and foreign exchange trading strategies.
From 1995 through 2000, Brad Reifler managed Refco, Inc.’s Institutional Sales Desk. In this position he was responsible for sales and execution of global derivatives, foreign exchange, and creating custom investment programs for institutional and high-net-worth individuals. All of this work laid the foundation for what he is currently doing with Forefront Capital Management.
About Forefront Capital Management
Certainly, Bradley Reifler established Forefront Capital Management with noble intentions. The company’s mission is to be known as the premier asset management firm, focusing on an underserved population of professional investors—including established portfolio managers running less than $250 million.
According to Brad there is ample data to show that these smaller funds—especially ones with track records that only go back three years or less—are among the highest alpha generators. Historically, these talented managers have proven inaccessible to most investors, simply due to viability concerns and structural shortfalls. The role of Forefront Capital Management, though, is to expose these alpha generators to a much larger investor base—institutional investors, primarily.
Education and Personal Life
Naturally, a man as accomplished as Bradley Reifler has a sound educational background to fall back on. He is a proud graduate of Bowdoin College. He graduated from the school in 1981, and has academic experience in both economics and political science.
Though his work occupies a great deal of his time, he does enjoy a number of hobbies. He is a sportsman, and enjoys both riding horses and motorcycles. Additionally, he loves to play tennis, and he is passionate about sporting clays.
More than anything else, though, he is passionate about his family. He is happily married, and he has three children. He and his family have long lived on a farm—Sky Blue Farm—but intend to sell it soon, as they are enthusiastic to move back to New York City.
Bradley Reifler's Philanthropy
On the topic of Reifler’s family and his hobbies, it is also helpful to note that he is involved in some tremendous philanthropic work. For one thing, he is a strong supporter of the Barton Center, a camp that seeks to provide education about diabetes. His interest in this cause stems from the fact that his own oldest daughter has type 1 diabetes.
Brad also does much good work on behalf of those with Parkinson’s disease and brain tumors; in addition, he serves on several corporate and educational boards. Brad is passionate to make a difference however he can.
What does the future hold in store for Bradley Reifler? No one can say for sure, of course, but he certainly has his fair share of goals. Foremost among them is that he wishes to continue serving investors who are otherwise underserved; on that note, he is happy to say that Forefront Capital Management will continue offering its full range of services, even as the company itself seeks to expand and to grow.
When asked about his own professional goals, Brad Reifler speaks passionately about his desire to see Forefront Capital Management reach more and more investors. His goal is to see the business grow to where it has 99 percent of its targeted investment population being served. In serving these investors, he hopes to guide them to opportunities that are financially savvy and advantageous, while also continuing to create innovative new wealth management products and solutions.
“The underserved community of which we speak is the non-accredited community—the 99 percent,” he explains. “Our future mission is to create strategies that will allow this group to make between 8 and 12 percent returns with minimal risk.” Most of the strategies Reifler speaks of are in the structured loan area and receivable financing. In the next 18 months, he says, the company will look to raise $1 billion.
On a more personal note, Bradley Reifler hopes that in the near future he will be able to sell his long-cherished Sky Blue Farm. As much as he has enjoyed farm life, he is excited to move back into the thick of New York City.
