He also served as a roller derby referee for the Salt City Derby Girls from 2007 to 2011. From 2009 to 2010, he held the prestigious title of “Head Referee.” This experience meant a lot to Matthew, and he wanted to give more back to this particular sport. He financed the Salt City Derby Girls Banked Track, which is now known as the Bandit Banked Track, named after his identity as the MK Bandit.

Before working with roller derby and professional wrestling organizations, Matthew Roblez was a consultant for Mary Kay. He used the initials from this company to help develop the MK Bandit’s name. He started his own association in the professional wrestling world in 2009 after partnering with American Xtreme Wrestling. Since then, he has performed in over 40 professional wrestling events.
