John Bell is a web developer, content producer, and technology trainer who launched Mechanical Bell in 2017 to assist individuals and small businesses get a web presence and use technology to help them grow.
As a developer and trainer, John provides valuable expertise to individuals and companies to help them leverage their technology to work for them in the best way possible, and provides design services for businesses, artists, and writers to showcase their brands. As a published writer and professional copywriter, John also produces eye-catching and thoughtful content for blogs, ad copy, and more.
John's technical background extends back over twenty years, when he started his own business repairing computers in customer's homes. Since then, he has worked at Apple, repairing relationship and helping people understand technical concepts in a simple way. His passion for writing and consumer technology has resulted in a book about the history of social relationships online, and early in 2017 he launched his own business to take his knowledge in more directions.
In a few years, John hopes to develop more than a hundred web platforms for small businesses and artists, expand his client base both in Providence and outside, and have name brand recognition for enabling people to get more done and focus on their passion and work.

Worst Failures in Business
My worst failure in business was when I first tried to make money as a freelance writer. I cut back on my bill-paying job, and didn't understand the writing business at all. I had to abandon it after a year and back to my "regular job" full time.
