John F. Pendergast

Zero job security, very high turnover, no career opportunities, low pay. Management outright lies to employees--big time. They lured me in by promising bigger pay and other benefits--but those never came. They tell the whole firm that they just got a bunch of new clients and that referrals are way up--but then when I least suspected it, right after Christmas nonetheless, and when I was expecting my raise, they laid me off because there is "lack of work." In addition, despite the fact that there is a "lack of work" they are hiring other attorneys, new HR staff, promoting several managers, and have a TEAM of four decently paid interns (I know, b/c I was one). There is an awful lot of cronyism as well, so if you know the owner, then you'll probably be OK, but if you don't, then you mean nothing to him or the firm. I know of at least 3 attorney's this has already happened to, so this is definitely a trend. I thought I'd be different, but nope! There is ZERO job security. Stay away from Pendergast & Associates!!!!
