Toxic, juvenile, dysfunctional and unprofessional environment By FAR the worst work experience I?ve ever had. The work environment is defined by a cliquey toxic girl?s club culture where a small group of millennial women runs roughshod over anyone not in their inner sanctum, applying double standards, all sanctioned by the two owners. Cloak and dagger high-school drama is standard behavior, mixed with rampant sexism and ageism. An employee on the autism spectrum was bullied and berated repeatedly, and I was shocked they were never sued. I witnessed the most senior producers repeatedly conspire to sideline and undermine the Creative Director, who, with 20 years of experience had to fight to have a voice in a room with 20-somethings who were interns 2 years prior. Designers are not respected, regardless of their degree, experience and qualifications, while junior producers with no design background are allowed to dictate design, which leads to a stifling creative environment with little room for innovation. Default mode for design process is a Pinterest board, choosing to mix a bunch of someone else?s ideas or defaulting to previous, often simplistic design solutions over anything original. Management hires people for their experience and then ignores their input if they're not one of the ?Kool Kids?. Also slow to pay freelancers because producers can't be bothered to approve invoices. Turnover is very high. The most that anyone with a brain / has worked elsewhere / hasn?t gotten drunk on the Kool-Aid can take is a year. The five star reviews are fake, coerced from the owners from the more easily influenced employees. Avoid.
