Toxic Environment. Best to Avoid. Little creative input allowed to anyone but certain leads and producers Management unequipped to deal with employee concerns or issues Low compensation for work demanded Poor scheduling Culture of "everyone for themselves" Projects and the bottom line are considered more important than the people unless you're in the right circle. This is not a place where your voice will be heard. The wrong people are promoted to lead positions in almost all cases. Leads are always unequipped for their responsibilities (I personally never had a good lead while I was there). They don't know how to mentor associate level developers or approach problem employees. They often allow toxic behavior and bullying to go unchecked (they are also one of the sources a lot of the time). I witnessed a developer bully another developer in front of a producer. When this issue was brought up to the producer, they waved it off and nothing was done about it. Managers and producers neglect basic responsibilities and really enjoy putting their vision in the game. They will also volunteer themselves to go to events rather than giving appropriate developers the opportunity to participate. We would crunch to hit deadlines, and then the deadline would be moved back for one reason or another. This happened countless times. The schedule hardly meant anything. Developers would get multiple rounds of feedback on a task and then be chastised by the same people for taking so long on that task.
