They kind of try As an admin you are not an employee, so you have to do all your own taxes. You piece together your work by grabbing different tasks that clients submit... but you have to take a lot of tasks to actually make any money (for example: you log on to your email, don't get paid for it, read through emails from your manager, don't get paid for it, log in to dashboard, don't get paid for it, read through tasks you are qualified for, don't get paid for it). Then you grab a task that involves making a reservation or researching something random, and THEN you can start deducting time from the client. But you only get paid for the work you do, so if it takes you 5 minutes to call the restaurant to make a reservation... then you only get paid for 5 minutes of work. At first I thought I could put together enough tasks to get paid a good amount, but you really don't. So you end up committing a lot of time to checking emails, checking dashboard, ect, but not actually making any real money. The other big negative is that there seems to be a real lack of any clarity in management. They seem to actually be somewhat clueless. There are good employees too, don't get me wrong, but when I go to them with questions they typically sound frustrated and apologetic, like things are happening out of their control even though they don't approve. If you look at RB pricing, they charge clients like $35 per hour. But an admin only makes $12 per 'hour'. The other thing that seems unethical to me is that the client's time doesn't roll over. So clients spend a ton on their hours, but if they don't use them they're lost forever. Admins don't get to see any of this money, it just goes in the pocket of RB. They say that there is a lot of advancement, but unfortunately that seems to come with a lot of extra responsibility and not any extra pay (for example, being paid $12 per hour as an RBA to $13 as something else fancy).
