Terrible place to work Overall It was a terrible place to work -Gwyneth was impossible to get feedback from, but we also needed her approval to move forward. It would take her months to give feedback on simple things that should have taken a day and then she wouldn?t understand why things took so long. Other times she would simply say something was terrible without articulating why she didn?t like it. She was also clearly less and less interested in the company as time went on and wanted to spend her days trying on clothes when the company desperately needed a real CEO. -The company was supposed to fix the ?CEO? issue by hiring a Chief Business Officer (real CEO). This person took around a year to find and only stayed a few months and his departure was blamed on him being shady. The same thing happened with the first VP Human Resources. -Goop doesn?t practice what it preaches when it comes to the products it sells. There were no guidelines or standards around the products is sells. Goop would say publish an article about the dangers of VOC off gassing and then put their name on products that off glass VOCs. -There were definitely more issues, but this is the gist. I wouldn?t be surprised if it goes out of business soon. The company spends money like crazy and wasn?t profitable when I left.
