Run For the Hills Where do I even start?! Probably the only good thing about this place is that they're willing to give fresh out of college students a chance. The team is extremely disorganized and there is no communication at all between coworkers, upper management and employees. Everyone is extremely rude and talks behind everyone's backs. There is no training or direction given. You just receive vague instructions, are expected to perform the work correctly and then sent passive aggressive and demeaning emails when managers have realized the finished product is not what they're looking for. There is a HUGE lack in diversity and it's incredibly obvious. People in the office are just gossiping about each other instead of doing work and being productive. Upper management needs a REVAMP and training on how to be better managers. What really surprised me was that a lot of upper management were women and they never reached out in order to empower and strengthen employees who were women, whom they reported to. All of the teams including the one I was on was in constant shambles because of a lack of people. All the associates do the same thing: start off excited > realize what is actually going on at Canvas > plan to leave in 6-8 months of employment. I never had a 1-1 with my manager from the day that I started. She barely acknowledged me until about month 3 of working there - a common theme for all upper management and other employees. They all clearly have their favorites whom they talk to regularly. Everyone else will just be ignored or brushed off. Lastly, there is WAY too much work to be done for the amount that they're paying you. The OT offered does not at all compensate for the working hours.
