Narcissistic & Out of Touch CEO CEO and senior management are inconsistent and under pressure from the investment company to turn things around, or else. Besides hiring an efficiency expert, their other solution is to gut a decades standing and fairly negotiated union contract in favor of the company handbook?handbook that can change (and has) at the mercurial whim of an inconsistent CEO. They want to reduce pay, reduce vacations, reduce severance, be able to lay off technicians regardless of seniority, and not guarantee 40 hours of work (thus effectively starving the techs into having to quit to survive). They are already outsourcing our work to sub-contractors while we sometimes sit idle. They are completely clueless about customer service, the technician/customer relationships, and what goes on in the field, in general. We service many state & federal clients and institutions that require clearance and special identification to be on their site. Who is going to service them if he decimates the technicians as seems his goal? If the CEO doesn?t understand the value of providing good customer service, how can he run any company?much less this one? If I were a client, I would be very wary about buying anything from this company. And I certainly would NOT recommend that anyone apply for a job here. Although, if you don?t know much and you can BS your way through an interview you can get hired?but you won?t last past the trial period because you have to be able to work on such a wide variety of equipment and weirdly integrated new/old systems, that it takes years of experience to be able to do it. It?s a dying company with a desperate CEO and many of my own clients have told me they are not going to renew their service contracts. Once their day-to-day contacts (us) are gone, and service goes downhill, the exodus will be dramatic.
