Low Pay, Poor Management Very low pay - Unprofessional management - Lack of interest or investment in employee's career growth - Too much gossip and politics amongst VP's and upper management Student housing can be a great industry! It doesn't have to suck. Having worked for multiple management companies over the years, it all comes down to the people you work with and the culture the company creates. Regardless of how nice or luxurious the property is, I would steer clear of working under Pierce Education Properties. Their pay is low, and management is poor and unprofessional. This leads to a lousy work environment and complete lack of any fun, positive company culture one would hope to be a part of. Sadly, I've watched them single handedly take over properties and drive out every existing worker to quit, from leasing consultants all the way up to property managers and maintenance technicians.
