Low Pay, Poor Benefits, Hostile Work Environment, Inexperienced Management Due to part-time status and low pay of hourly workers, this was a very hostile work environment. The production floor sounded more like a prison yard than a workplace. In my short time there, I witnessed multiple instances of every type of harassment and inappropriate behavior you can think of. Turnover is extremely high and terminations/resignations are almost a daily occurrence. Attendance is very poor. Expect 20-25% of the workforce to call out sick on Mondays. The average employee stays less than 3 months. Management is inexperienced and does not seem to have any business training whatsoever. All of upper management are either dating each other or have their significant others (and moms) working for them. Yeah, it's that type of environment. Emails are unprofessional and come across whiny and accusatory. I've never seen anything like it. Management treats the hourly employees more like children than employees. There are security cameras everywhere, and management uses these instead of actually spending time on the floor. They literally sit in their offices and watch the camera screens all day long! Snap-shot management at its absolute worst! Benefits and pay are the worst I have ever seen. For hourly employees, providing health insurance for your family will take more than half of your paycheck. Again, most employees are part-time and the 5 or 6 full-time employees only get about 35 hours/week. There are no 401k, Flex-Spending, or Life Insurance benefits.
