Learn a lot, get treated terribly. Yes, the hours are bad, and you can expect to be there until at least 9 pm every night while getting paid half of what your counterparts at banks get paid. However, long hours are expected in NYC, but what is not expected is how terribly the MDs treat the analysts. There is way to much work for the small staff, and much of management belittles the analysts. It is a terrible work environment outside for the most part. They also say you there is extensive training, which is just false. You are thrown into the fire and do not teach any valuable software.
