Extremely Poor Management Practices, Unfair treatment of rehab staff Management favors one race over all other employees, gives them what they ask for at the expense of other therapists (i.e. removing a long term, loyal therapist from a facility just so they can bring in their friends), frequently refuses to approve PTO requests made well in advance, will claim that something is "company policy" and when told that it is not in the employee handbook, then issue a memo making a new policy supporting what had incorrectly been stated as policy, when moving therapists from one facility to another has no regard for distance therapist has to travel from home, does not care what is happening in the field as long as the money keeps rolling in, most of the staff are not seeing the patients and are are not staying in the facility for the full hours (at many of their facilities) -- rather they are clocking each other in and out, rehab room is a big party in some facilities with eating, loud talking (usually in a foreign language), and no one actually working with patients, medicare fraud is abundant? repeatedly picking up the same patients who are completely inappropriate for therapy and keeping them at high RUG levels for maximum number of days -- risking therapists licenses without ever backing them up should there be a problem? the list goes on!
