Do not recommend! Low morale, high stress, high turnover, beware of management writing fake reviews Incredibly high turnover (**e.g., in 3 years, 30 full time staff have quit or were let go. Keep in mind this is a 50-person company**) Company hires young, eager people and run them into the ground and do not care about retention of their great staff. Rarely (never?) are able to replace senior staff after they leave Very low morale among employees Management seeks advice and has mandatory meetings where they solicit opinions of staff but ignore those opinions and do nothing Upper management complains to staff about providing basic benefits to them (health care, commuter benefits, office snacks) Company is run by putting out fires, and everything is an "emergency" Items will constantly sit on someone's desk and then right before it is due they assign the task to someone else with impossible deadlines, leading to an unnecessarily consistently high stress environment. Management is inconsistent with policies depending on mood and manager Company says they offer "flexible schedules," which is entirely untrue. What they mean is that they allow employees to go to appointments during the workday if they tell everyone where they are at all times and make up the hours throughout the week. Otherwise expect an 8 to 6 workday plus nights/weekend work. Work/life balance is non-existent and there is no respect or consideration for personal time or boundaries. Employees expected to work at the same level as the owner and directors Multiple benefits taken away throughout the years, such as overtime pay and "flex" time, but upper management keeps benefits that are important to them, i.e. hockey games Micromanagement is on another level. No ownership over projects unless you are a director, and even directors are micromanaged. Senior staff know very little about what junior staff/supporting staff want to get out of their time here, very limited consideration of professional goals Bio team lacking consistent science-based leadership No overtime pay and rarely any bonuses If there is ever an issue, management sends a passive aggressive "reminder" company-wide instead of addressing issues with persons involved, which creates uncertainty among staff Limited involvement or support for industry-related memberships
