Beware of the male dominated good old boy network Still operates under the good old boy principles; when problems arise, don't expect anyone to advocate for you, regardless of how good an employee you are, how honest you are or how hard you have worked. Expectations are that you work with less and have no voice when standards are less than par. I was kicked out when staffing and attendance was poor. When I asked for help, I was told I would get none and director let one of my much needed staff go when I was out one day so that his contract buddy could occupy the desk. It was the single most demoralizing experience of my life. My advice is to never work so hard for such a thankless firm.
