Absolutely Asinine I had my medical history gossiped about behind my back by the owner with her employees, was yelled at and insulted by her favorite employee who was not held to the same standards as other employees, and was told that my #1 priority in life had to be her business. I don't know if she missed every single Hallmark Christmas special for the past 50 years, but myself and my family are my first priority in life. Her business is her priority, not anyone else's. An absolutely asinine demand. I had to report the business to OSHA for them to start following the law regarding COVID standards. The owner badmouths her embroidery machine operators behind their backs constantly (that is why the previous two longtime employees had previously left) and takes it out on you if you request time off or call in sick. Before she weaseled her way into claiming she's "essential", she additionally broke the law by calling employees in to work during a mandatory state-wide stay at home order. She doesn't care about her employees' health and wellness unless you're part of her clique. Oh, and you better hope you're a social butterfly, because she'll hate you if you're shy and keep to yourself. On numerous occasions I was told that I need to socialize with the other employees despite none of them ever bothering to speak with me. In addition, if her golden boy says you're wrong, even though he doesn't know how to do your job nor does he ever do your job, then it doesn't matter what you say. At one point they brought in a corporate trainer for us and she didn't even know how to change a needle, if that tells you anything about the company in general.
