A short-term place to work I have worked at the clinic for almost 2 years, which then problems started to occur the longer I work there. My biggest frustration is with management (top management and clinic) is that while they say they want to hear about your concerns (and proposed solutions) as well as how you want to grow in the company, this is far from the truth. They can't be bothered with that. Example: the COO of the company 2 years ago told the staff during a meeting that he'd want to meet with everyone by end of the year to learn about them. This never happened, at all. Few months ago he came to the clinic (when 2 clinicians were also leaving around the time, he told the staff that he wants everyone to feel comfortable going to him with any problems - big or small - and that he is open to meet up with staff. I took this offer and asked for a meeting, only to find him saying that he'd meet (via email) but never showed up. Not a phone call, or anything. I followed up with this request 3x (over period of 2 months), and still had not had that meeting. This, along with other issues of the clinic (including changes of management causing increased difficulty for open communication, no growth outlook, increased work for management due to clinicians leaving leading to no time helping out current staff), I?ve decided to leave. I think it is important for future hires to know what to expect, because I've become more and more disappointed the longer I've worked there.
