A Joke of a company When hired I had a base salary of $24k plus commissions. 2 months in the entire sales staff got a base salary pay cut to $11k (That's $5.77 per hour), although the commission structure changed. (they made it sound to our advantage but it wasn't) This company is not stupid. They knew the months ahead with electricity rates increasing, that closing sales would be tough, so they cut base salaries in preparations to protect their bottom line. The day they cut our base Netpique made $100k. You either signed the new contract or you were unemployed. If you have pending commissions you got screwed. That's how it was put to you. I had 2 managers in the 4 months I worked there. The most recent was only in the business for 10 months before getting the promotion because the past manager got fired for brokering and having a few sales members (who also got fired) broker supposedly. I closed 6 deals. Got paid commission on 2. Who knows what happened to the others. Never saw a commissions report even though I asked for it multiple times. (thank goodness I kept my own sales records) I am not the only one who is owed money on sales they closed. There were several on our sales team including the manager that were also brokering on the side (No, this is not speculation. Yes, I have proof). You get undermined by the current manager. I know of 1 employee who signed up for the health insurance and at the end of the month she owed Netpique if she didn't get her commission. The Bi-weekly premium for a family is $740 (mind you bi-weekly gross base pay is $461.00) You are required to hit 50 doors a day. Use your personal vehicle and use your person phone to do business and get a base pay of $5.77 per hour. When your business cards are ordered for you they don't tell you that the cost of them will be deducted from your paycheck either. I learned that the hard way. Honestly this post wouldn't be happening if I got paid my commission on sales I closed and the manager would not undermine leads you are required to report to him. You can say I'm disgruntled all you want but these are facts. I have black and white proof to back up everything I am saying. Proof from the manager himself brokering on the side and one of my clients told me what my manager was up to as far as undermining lead. The client even put it in an email to me as well, because he felt my manager was up to no good. This may not be happening at all the Netpique branches, but it is in the Houston office.
