A Horrific Work Environment Everyone at Epic Records was just so mean. Like, I get that it's the 'music industry,' but there's no reason to be mean all the time - ESPECIALLY to assistants. We are all just trying to make it through the day, there's no reason to bully and to intimidate. Also, modernize. Get your employees some laptops or at least a bigger monitor. Working there felt like it must have been technologically advanced in the 90s but that after the turn of the century no one updated any systems. It was a total joke, working on these oldschool computers while the rest of the world blazed past you. Epic Records was such an awful, absolutely awful, place to work. I'll never forget during my exit interview when HR asked if I was satisfied with my compensation. I laughed in their faces - I was making $32k a year. When you considered all the hours I put in, I was making significantly less than minimum wage.
