Too many leadership failures. Company has been through a lot of changes in last few years. After the buyout, senior leadership led company in some bad directions. New leadership (or owners) seem to have held those decisions against the staff. Absentee leadership. Senior leadership is not located in any of the primary engineering locations. For a company that claims to be a software engineering company, that is out of balance. Communication. CEO only has town hall every few months, and only seems to be interested in sales. Engineering efforts are hardly addressed. One major engineering office was not mentioned in a town hall for about a year. We almost had a drinking game about it. No 401K match. Bonus that is dangled as a benefit but never be paid out. Attrition. Offices that leadership has stated they want to grow and invest in are shrinking almost to the point of being no longer viable. Leadership has stated that they are not concerned, "attrition happens, we'll hire people to replace them". But without back-filling positions, the health of the projects is at high risk. If you actually care about attrition, you might want to show it. Flexible schedule - some people need to be seen in the office more often. No opportunities for advancement.
