Tread carefully First off, the majority of these glassdoor reviews are from employees during the time where the company said "hey go leave us a good review on glassdoor". -This studio is plagued by the worst qualities of VFX, and the leadership will absolutely not listen to you at all. -Crazy hour demands. 24 hour days not unheard of. - The work you work on his pretty boring most of the time, and when it is interesting they will overwork you and the shot. -If you're on a green card, you are also never leaving the studio. They work people on green cards to the bone. -Everything is poorly planned, the bid times are ridiculously low (Bid times of 15 minutes exist, which is insane). They are notorious in the vfx industry for this, and it often leads to clients taking their work to a studio that can actually deliver realistic bids and results. -Be prepared to not be paid appropriately. Their idea of a senior salary is less than $40/hr, and I've heard that number has dropped further. - The parking is very bad. -The only praise you'll get is if you had to work over time or the weekend they will lay it on thick and say "thank you SO much you're a HERO". It's sad and manipulative, there is no positive reinforcement or encouragement of you taking care of yourself or setting boundaries. They will certainly SAY that if asked, but the reality is and based on their policies that is absolutely not the case. Overtime is a failure of management, and isn't something that should be praised. It's a reality of the industry, but its not something to be proud of. -Senior Employees who have been there a long time often get stuck being paid the least and become expected to work crazy hours. -They use the "we are a family" rhetoric to get people to step over their boundaries and get people to work way harder. Bottom line, senior artists you should run. Junior artists, really think twice before applying. Ask them to specifically address these issues if you interview, just because you are new to the industry does not mean you need to lower your standards for yourself.
