I wish I had trusted the Glassdoor reviews Scheduling was extremely inconsistent, and work-life balance was nonexistent with this job. While any job working an event will likely require you to come in on the weekends, this meant 7-day work weeks with exhausting hours. It wasn't uncommon to be scheduled to work 3pm-11pm on Friday, and then required to be at the office Saturday morning from 4am-12pm for another event. Personal matters were rarely taken into consideration when scheduling, and not to mention the insane amount of bruises I accumulated setting up/breaking down each event. Often times employees would show up to the warehouse expecting to use a company vehicle to transport product and supplies to the event, and nothing was available so we would be required to use personal vehicles (which would get so dirty from the supplies kept in the termite ridden warehouse). I know some of my teammates are still waiting to be reimbursed for situations like these. Out of the blue we were called in for a mandatory meeting in which 90% of our team was laid off due to "corporate reasons", despite the fact management had planned for events all the way through Thanksgiving and had just hired 15 new employees a few days prior. My guess is they blew through their marketing budget too quickly, or have fallen into another lawsuit.
