I hope it has changed The culture. I do believe that there is a desire to take care of employees, but that is unfortunately not extended to everyone. I have watched one person get promoted, knowing that they were not ready for the role, being told they would be supported and coached, only to get nothing and be let go. I have watched mistreatment of certain employees by peers, in passive hidden ways. Stupid things like moving their button on the In/Out board. I have seen dumb things like candy stolen off of a person's desk, for no other reason than to be dumb. I have listened to talking about co-workers that goes unchallenged. I myself was told to test a software, and that if there were issues when it went out I would be responsible - yet I was not even given a manual of how the software was supposed to work. I pointed out the impossibility of knowing the business rules that govern how it works, and I was told that was my problem. When I left my manager told me I had been treated unfairly at Prelude. Really? What kind of leadership is it that states that an employee has been treated unfairly and does nothing to create a fair environment and advocate for those reporting to you? That is not leadership. It is the reason I give Prelude a single star.
