Not for everyone This is the most toxic environment I have ever been a part of. The owners of the business are married, so it functions somewhat like a family business. If you work here (in any department, but especially sales), be prepared to drop your work responsibilities to run errands that have nothing to do with the company. Temple is extremely talented but runs the company based on her emotions, which change at a moment's notice. There were days that I walked into work where both she and her husband greeted me with open arms, invited me to social event, etc. and other days where they both looked at me like they were wondering why I was wasting their space. Once you get to a high position at this company (or suck up shamelessly), you are untouchable. It doesn't matter if you don't do your job because those running the company don't even know what their employees' job titles are. The only time something will be noticed is if someone else deliberately points it out- and even then, the emotion of the day dictates whether something will actually be done about it. I have witnessed people get absolutely torn apart for suggesting alternate, more efficient ways of doing things, and others thrive while taking 2 hour "lunch" (shopping) breaks every single day leading up to the holidays (the busiest time of year) to do their Christmas shopping. If you manage to get on Temple's good side, you are golden- until she chooses a new favorite. The company doesn't even have HR, so if you have an issue, tough luck. Even those who have been brave enough to address their issues directly with management are thrown under the bus and outed immediately. When working there I receive multiple complaints from customers about one employee who was extremely underperforming but nothing was ever done as she was the favorite at the time. There is also a huge "not my fault" mentality, and employees constantly blame others for their own mistakes. The ones blamed will not know about it until they hear it through the grapevine, as management's technique is to be rude and awful to whoever they think messed up instead of trying to fix the issue. Everyone walks on eggshells and the owners are extremely out of touch with both their employees and reality. Benefits are also extremely awful but that is to be expected at a small company. This is also a very gossipy place and if you express that you don't want to gossip, you will be gossiped about.
