Lack of Talent and Resources They do not attract the most talented/knowledgable people in the industry, particularly because the salaries are well below market level (all entry/mid level people have parental financial support/most live at home) (also insurance is much higher than most companies so salaries are even less than they appear). They currently have one hispanic person working there (the receptionist) and no black people. Management promotes a cliquey culture. HR has clear favorites, making the environment seem less supportive. It is not unheard of to have teammates who will never say hello/ask how one's weekend was. Junior employees are constantly talked down to and not given opportunities to grow and learn. There is no real training or support for managers. Professional development/lunch and learns are very infrequent, if at all. Processes are very dated, many things that should be automated are not.
