Don't be fooled by the diversity. If you are a minority, you will find it hard to work your way up. Don't get excited about a promotion or a huge raise. You will not get it. Go in with very low expectations, and you will be disappointed anyway. The whole company is ran by privileged people who make sure you know they are in power. They will do anything to keep your hours at a minimum to keep you from receiving benefits. HR is rude and feels superior to everyone, yet cannot answer any questions, and sends you off to someone else outside of the company. Why work there if you cannot do anything? Many employees express their unhappiness, but are stuck there because MNN is the only job they have had. You will most likely get the job, but will quickly realize you cannot do anything because you have to go through a whole hierarchy to get an "okay." You will also realize the decision making process is easier in a kindergarten class. Don't expect to learn anything, since no one is qualified for their job title. No one with talent or skills remains with the company long enough because you will quickly feel and experience the bully tactics all of the upper management does. This goes for both 59th St. and Firehouse locations. Higher ranked employees talk poorly and badly about the community producers, whom are the reason they are even employed. This place is a scam anyway. You will only become a certified producer for MNN. You cannot use your certification elsewhere. Avoid this place at all costs. You'll thank me later.
