Constant Turnover / Terrible Work Environment It is probably safe to say they have had 5-6 director level roles come and go in the past three years all within a similar position. Don't let the varying titles trick you. There's a hybrid role of E-comm, brand and marketing that is constantly being filled by full-time hires or consultants and all barely last a year. This sort of says it all. The reason for this is leadership doesn't know what they want and are extremely hard to work with. They want one person that can do it all and even if this is impossible they are quick to point the finger. The president, Catherine, is absolutely awful to work with and nothing is ever good enough. She is using this role inherited from her mother as an entry level course in running a business and she's not meeting expectations. Instead everything boils down to someone else isn't good at their job or the right fit, but if multiple people aren't right for a role or keep leaving in under a year, doesn't this say more about the person in charge. From an interpersonal level, she's extremely socially awkward, privileged and out of touch, making communication painful, rude and offensive. She's also very insecure, making her opinions on a person blow in the direction of whoever has her ear at the time. Even if business is doing well, it doesn't matter. Working here is a recipe for misery. It's sad because the mother is tough and built this business from the ground up, but as an employee there is nothing family-oriented or compassionate about its future leadership.
