All the synonyms for 'terrible' Absolutely the worst job experience. Never have I ever worked for a company that was so disorganized, lacked empathy for the people working on the retail level, and so protective of the Steven Alan name. All the other negative reviews written here are all true: high turnover rate, mismanagement of money, corporate listens to retail managers with a grain of salt whereas associates and keyholders don't get heard at all, complete disregard of work/personal life, false promises of comp days when working +50 hours, vendors not getting paid and start contacting the retail stores since corporate won't reply to them, and etc. Those reviews came from 2015 and 2 years later, Steven Alan hasn't learned from his mistakes. So many talented people have left or gotten fired from the company because they knew what was really going on behind questionable doors. Years of poor decisions are now catching up this year: 6 store closures (Chicago, Westport, Greenwich, Nolita, Brooklyn Men's, Newport Beach) and the reinvented model of 70% SA products and 30% other vendors (which is due to vendors not getting paid) yet... no message from Steven Alan Grossman himself. When a company gives no public statement about store closures, what kind of impression does that give? Clearly a negative one. It's a beyond embarrassing when customers know more inside information about the company than the employees do. Job seekers, please take into account all the other negative reviews written about this brand. There has not been a single positive review in 2017 at all so don't waste your time.
