WARNING! Do not be fooled. in the beginning 2 weeks of training consist of learning how to convince clients to work with TechniPower and learning about different types of engineering professionals (which you will only be told the position is too hard to fill and will not be able to work). After training you will take a written test with over 50 questions (essay style answers) and will also be required to create 10 new accounts (contact 10 new businesses that agree to work with you) only to pass those new leads to managers. After training you will be told what team you will be on and what your work schedule is since there?s multiple shifts. Your day will consist of making 50-100 outbound calls to different companies (majority of those do not want to work with TechniPower because of their horrible reputation). If you happen to convince someone to work with you, you must get approval from your manager to work with the client. Across the board all managers basically have you call the client back multiple times to ask additional questions about the position (some relevant but majority are irrelevant). By this time the client is aggravated with you and question your ability to fill the position because at this point they realize you have no idea what the actual position is (because in most cases you don?t) and they usually don?t take your calls anymore. Once you get pass all the hurdles of actually being able to work with a client on filling a position you then have to deal with recruiting. There?s a disconnect with recruiting and sales. You will be given candidates from your recruiter that do not qualify for the position but instead of finding real quality candidates you will be told to present them anyway. Most recruiters are swamped with working to fill managers positions (managers are on the phone as well) that they do not have the time to truly focus on the sales rep positions. Last, there are MEASURABLES which you are required to make 65 contacts (if you do not have any billing coming in each week). Contacts consist of speaking with someone who?s in charge of the hiring process. This means you cannot speak with a receptionist and that count as a contact. You will be calling the same businesses for days leaving messages and getting hung up on by the receptionist because of TechniPower reputation. TechniPower?s reputation with alot of the clients they have in their database is pretty bad, in order to get clients to work with me I had to separate myself from the company and speak about me as a person and my work ethic. If you have sales experience and are accustomed to making money this isn?t the place for you. If you do not have experience and comfortable with making a minimum salary to make phone calls with no real return then this is the place for you. Within the first 3 months of working here a total of 8 people left which only 2 were fired. This company has a total of maybe 50 employees.
