The company who always tells its customers no Compensation at BITS is average. Management says you can work from home, but frowns on it. They expect you to work unrealistic hours under unrealistic expectations. Certain people are trusted while others are completely disrespected and opinions disregarded. The technology is a "bleeding edge" 10 years old that some are afraid to change. Afraid of change is the tip of the iceberg. The politics within the office are laughable. The finance department is the only department who keeps the company barely treading water. Lets start from the top.... narcissistic tendencies who consistently talks over everyone. This opinion is the only opinion. There is no leadership as to where the company came from or where it is going. The idea is to create a billion dollar company by selling an outdated phone system to an antiquated dying industry of community banks or by hosting their 25 year old servers within an inadequate virtual infrastructure. Some come in at 10, sends an email that you can dress down on Friday... leave at 2. Sales - 1 year cycle to get a customer... its a joke. Customer Care Team - does whatever they want or cannot be found when needed. Installation Team - Works extremely hard but mostly incompetent. Lots of great ideas but afraid of change is the gist. Support Team - Micromanaged with fear and intimidation. Engineering Team - Lacks strategy and experience. Hires Cisco to do a job they should easily be able to do themselves. Finance Team \ Data Center Team- Works extremely hard but they do most of the accounting by hand and have zero automation. Customer billing is often a best guess. Finance and Data Center share workload.... speaks to the incompetency of the organization. Small projects can sometimes take years to complete due to fear of the unknown or excuses. Look for this company to continue to sell the same phone system in the cloud, ATT MPLS and an outsourced 24/7 helpdesk for a few more years before going belly up. The gates are down, the lights are flashing but the train isn't coming.
