Poor Leadership Holding Back Great People I have been at Architizer for a while, and I have finally made up my mind to leave after telling myself that things were about to get better over and over. Under this wishful thinking, they have been about to get better for the better part of a year now. It's not the numbers, or the progress that Source has had. This is undeniable. It's more of the fact that we continue to work under poor leadership and unclear vision. I also dislike the culture at Architizer that disparages our clients: from building product manufacturers to architects. The way we speak about these people would lead one to believe that we didn't depend on them for our business. But the truth is that we have reduced them to numbers we need to raise that investor money. There's no real concern for their needs so long as we are hitting those numbers. It's no surprise then that some of our coworkers and leadership use mocking language when talking about them. I have complained to my manager about this on numerous occasions and nothing changes. An on those numbers, sure Source is doing well, but are many of those searches real when we are bribing our Architects to make them if we give them $200 headphones in return? I know a lot of building product manufacturers have never and will probably never hear from these architects.
