Part and Sum-one kill me While the vision can totally be achieved, it?s sabotaged at the whims of the founders, anxiety that could have been avoided with communication, and by pitting clients and their account owners against each other. Julie and Jim are opposed to hearing any constructive criticism from the team and will often retaliate in aggressive and inappropriate ways. Expectations were often unclear and ambiguous. You?d often see staff walking on eggshells around the two, and there was always at least one staff member on the team that got relentless bullying. This would switch out every few weeks when they decided to bully someone else. When the team brought up concerns about bullying, management pretended to care, held a meeting where they were super defensive, blamed the staff and expected us to suggest solutions. Compensation discrimination was exposed multiple times - management tried to make up for it by having a ?frank? discussion about diversity of the team. Normal frustrations at small startups: time off policies are subject to change at any moment, holidays breaks are often left undetermined until the last minute (plus, you will be expected to work holidays) arbitrary policies and perks such as snacks are meant to make up for hostile working relationships instead of addressing them head on. Mostly it?s a shame that a company with so much promise of being ?different? is just the same bs you could get at any other agency that actually pays competitively and doesn?t emotionally abuse you.
