Misleading Representation of Company/Revolving Door of Employees This was my first real job out of college, and I should have seen the red flags during my interview and first three months of employment. As any good potential employee would do, you would research the company anywhere you could. The website states that they have offices all over the world. WRONG. They are located in the basement of a office building, and at the time, only two full time employees, Husband, the CEO, and the Wife (AKA work horse), and a part-time account coordinator, who I replaced. She ended up leaving in a very abrupt manner and with the CEO degrading her. At this point, I should have left.. Constantly had to lie to clients, about which "office" we were located in, had a few calls from a couple lawyers looking to speak to management about law suits and to speak to management. The husband and wife continued to ask me to hang up on these lawyers telling me that they were wrong numbers. Again, I should have left. Many days, I worked 7:30 a.m. to - 8 p.m. at night, and worked on the holidays while I was the only employee and the owners left. This is not a big deal as its a business and I wanted to continue to be good at my job. What really set me off was, that on a holiday while working on both my computer and my boss (the wife" who sat 2 feet away, I saw her interoffice messages with the CEO (husband) about me. They wanted me to quit so they could not pay me unemployment. He quoted "Lets just push her out, make it miserable so she will just quit." I gave my two weeks notice, but they ended up making my first week horrific, so I said goodbye. After this, it was hard to find another job, as I could not have them as a reference. I spoke to a few acquaintances, and realized two of them worked on this company as well, with the same experiences and quit after 2 months.
