It was the best place for learning once They'll promise you Functional Programming, they'll make you sweat learning Haskell and still, you'll end up doing Ruby or PHP(yes PHP)CTO has some serious social skills issues and his ego is bigger than the Empire State. He has to find always an issue in your technical work undermining your own trust in you most of the times. He rarely gives a thumbs upDevelopers are leaving the company because they don't feel comfortable with what the company "sold" to them upon hiring and the Executive Team apparently doesn't care about it. Actually, employees rotation is really high. - If you're not a developer, you'll probably end up with responsibilities from several positions totally unrelated with your backgroundSales Team, led by the CTO, doesn't actually sell too much(3 or 4 contracts last year) They don't actually listen to suggestion from their employees to improve - They'll play psychologically with the mistakes you make, pushing you to leave the company by your own decision after 3 mistakes, which BTW, will imply memos in your employee record. There is a culture of pointing fingers at people responsible for mistakes. You'll be asked about who did this, if you're not the responsible the next question will be: then who did it?It's okay to hold accountability but it's not okay when everything that seems to matter is to find a guilty to get rid of.Competitive salaries? You have/had the best software developers in the whole Ecuador and you're paying n average of ~ 1500 USD monthly. That's not competitive or top notch in a country where best Software Developers earn above 2000 USD monthly. The training process is a massive joke. Human Resources assigns a training and the Sales Team keep pushing and pulling the guy from projects. If you're really good you survive the three first months. Two out of five are not able to make it, including devs relocated from other countries. They talk you about doing the things professionally, following the standards of your clients but it's really hard for them to be in the shoes of their employees when something goes bad. We're Latinos, we spent the whole year trying to fit in our clients' culture with perfect alignment(and we achieved it most times) and you guys can't try to fit in ours. BTW, that's a direct shoot to the CTO.
