Greedy and unfair management VERY low pay. I'm not sure how workers who aren't management are living on their own. If you have experience and are just starting out, you will get paid the same as someone who has little to no experience. No direct deposit and checks are never on time, which frankly I don't know how they keep getting away it. You're also paid for work you did two weeks prior, so you won't see your first check until working there for a month. They will also make you promises to get you hired like getting a raise, but it won't happen. The only raise you have a chance of getting is at the end of the year, maybe. Schedules are also put out way too late. They claim that this is the case because events pop up with little notice. This is rarely the case. I've seen the BEO's for most of their hotels and been to BEO meetings, and these events are planned weeks to months in advance. It's due to laziness or being run ragged because the guy who does scheduling also runs the biggest property; it's too much work for one person. Tim Kolesar is by far the worst co-worker I've ever dealt with. He cares more about employees he knows personally than employees that actually have AV experience and know what they're doing. He will get mad if you aren't dressed in a shirt and tie when trying to load in and set up a show. You really can't set up big AV events with that kind of dress code. He cares more about appearance than actually getting the job done. If the employees at a property meet the bonus quota, he will then raise the quota. I'm not sure how his greed and negligence towards clients has kept the company going. There's a lot of clients that don't know much about AV, but you can't expect to rip them off they do know AV. Properties have been lost like that before, and they will be lost again because I don't think he's going to change his sales tactics anytime soon. Nick Daniels would be a far better replacement because he can sell and knows AV. There's also no gear inventory. When gear is needed at a property, the warehouse guys will call around searching for whatever they need. It has screwed properties over and clients have noticed when they don't have gear they bought. It's embarrassing and stressful for the technicians who have to either travel on their own dime to get the gear they need or wing it.
