Disorganized and stuck in the past. Company is in the middle of nowhere, geographically and philosophically. Tend to hire people who they consider ?experts? and then not listen to them, often hiring people to do a job, then not letting them do that job, then laying them off. Need to make a MASSIVE change in direction, but afraid to follow through on anything that doesn?t work overnight. Living in the past and banking on dead-end technologies is not going to help this company succeed. CEO seems to be a nice guy, but is very out of touch today?s software development needs and direction. Strategy doesn?t make any sense. Layoffs out of nowhere, usually effecting the people trying the hardest to make things better.
