Awful experience I worked for Fitzpatrick for exactly one month. I worked for a very peculiar attorney who was rude and very demanding. I was trained by a colleague who, not only had a bad attitude, they shoveled months worth of work to me and expected me to get through it all my first week there. I hadn't heard anything from upper management about what to do, where to go, I was told that I would be "trained" and that was that. I've never had to me micro-manged, so that was OK with me, but it was odd practice and unfamiliar. I left a great firm because they had been acquired and the culture was changing, I wanted more experience and decided to come here. Big mistake. My old firm practically begged me to stay, I should've. Everything about the DC office was antiquated, the offices, the training, the systems, etc. It was like stepping into the early 90's. Most of everyone was unfriendly to me, I never felt welcomed during my short period, I wish I never accepted the offer. I was told that they didn't think I was a good fit and sent on my way after a month there. I had no clue why as no-one other than the person who was training me gave me any feedback on my performance, and they said I was doing a good job, especially considering the workload. and backlog. A couple of weeks later, I learned that the attorney they hired me to work for was fired as well, this left a bad taste in my mouth. They should've been upfront with me and gave me time to try and look for another place. I had gotten multiple offers and would've had a chance to go elsewhere had I been given a heads-up.
