Avoid at all costs In the beginning, it was a growing company with amazing potential. Everyone was optimistic and committed to positive ROI AND a positive work culture. Initially, it was truly a pleasure to go to work daily. That soon did a complete 180. The company soon became unprofitable due to many poor decisions made by executive management and you were always looking over your should waiting for the next layoff ( and there were many.) The owners stopped getting along and that energy trickled down to the rest of the organization and changed the culture forever. Many people developed panic attacks and anxiety disorders due to the hostile environment. There was constant harassment and bullying that everyone ( including HR and the owners) knew about but ignored. It was a culture of abuse, conflict and general ineptitude. There were many times when they were in on the public embarrassment of team members, There was also a true lack of diversity in upper management. How does a beauty company not have a single woman or minority in a decision making role? It is a true boys club in all contexts including sexism ,sexual harassment and racial insensitivity. There was a level of nepotism the likes I have never seen. There was also violence and threats of violence and various abhorrent behavior that just became commonplace. Sadly, you got used to feeling chaotic and unsafe in the workplace. The pay system was truly dismal. There were many that were overpaid to do nothing, while others where working to exhaustion and not being compensated. It was truly a slap in the face when ay superior informed me that they KNEW I was worth much more but they couldn't give me what I was worth while I watch others get undue recognition and promotions. HR was truly a joke. The company started with an amazing HR team ,but through the many, many layoffs ended up with no HR at all. Going to HR with an issue consisted of them telling you that you didn't actually have that issue and that your concerns were invalid. in order to save their "golden boys" C-Suite included. You then became a target. If you are considering this place turn around and run far, far away. How awful this place is will literally change you as a person. It's not worth it.
