Smoke & Mirrors Worked for The Iron Yard as a Campus Director for nearly 2 years, given the age of The Iron Yard is a few years, 2 years is a long time for a team member at TIY. Joined for the same reason many people do, the appeal of tech, education, and changing lives. Unfortunately, I was naive and foolish that the "Leadership" Team and Founders shared in the same goal. Working for previous startups seeking big payouts from investors, The Iron Yard uses the same tricks by exaggerating outcomes to students/clients and seeking to generate an unreal number of "leads" with most looking like they came from a "click farm" as a ploy to show inflated volume. As a result of the manipulation and impatience from investors, the company went from 21 campuses now approaching 6, all under 12 months. Once I started to feel like I was working for Trump University, I knew it was time to leave. I'm posting on Glassdoor because The Iron Yard had me hire a new team member to then only 3 months later terminate their position and the individual.
