Business Development Specialist Very tough to find positives here ... as a sales executive, one looks for a position where they truly can be in charge of their own success or failure. If one is successful, they would expect to be praised, and if one fails, they would expect to be coddled by management. At CBS , there really is no difference in how you are treated, whether you are one month in, or ten years in, 150% of plan or 25 % of plan. Keep this is mind. All are coddled the same... and not coddling like your loving parents making sure you don?t hit your head running around in the kitchen, suffocated would probably be the best word. Over the past year and a half that I?ve worked here, more than 17 people have left the company and one or two have gotten fired. In my branch. That normally consists of about fifteen people.... stats don?t lie... This not withstanding - the racist , sexist, manic and manipulative behavior that is allowed to go on in this company is distressing. Women and people of color are not generally seen in the managers circle, to say the least. Overall, this company is a very depressing place to work. The 30 year old dogma and rhetoric touted by the President is old and tired. The industry is becoming ?ber competitive, and this will never be recognized by upper management. Nobody is listened to and loyal employees are fired for speaking up against wrongdoings. Employees are made to feel as if they are being tracked and followed throughout the course of the day. Management is completely paranoid and will not take responsibility for any of the turnover. Stay away from this company- there are plenty of other entry level sales jobs that won?t leave you calling your psychiatrist after six months.
