Please STAY AWAY from this toxic workplace!! Terrible management is an understatement. It's unfathomable! I've never had a boss full of such negativity (Ex. He said to me, ?Well I never wanted to be a manager in the first place.?). Nothing's worst than having work next to a boss who literally slams his fingers on his keyboard so hard when he types, that the keys break off. I could go on and on forever about how terrible it was working at Cheddar, but I?ll just summarize the key issues in bullet points: The CEO and President push for a "direct," honest, and transparent work environment, yet no one abides by this. Lots negative behind closed door talk. Questionable stability. The company?s future is uncertain considering they non-profitable after two years and recently acquired by Altice. Can you say sinking ship..? No matching 401K with low starting salary compared to others. Lack of growth. I noticed several employees who have been there since the launch of Cheddar in 2016 still have the same job title. No Human Resources department at all. The 'Operations Manager' is expected to handle all of the HR issues on top of all her other duties. Additionally, one of the anchors stated that the COO stated that he was looking to hire a woman for the 'Head of People' role, which is completely sexist and illegal. No task management system/software in place such as Jira or Asana. Everything is handled via Google Calendar which was completely unorganized. People are either extremely over or under-worked there. Producers are working 60hr weeks while the E-Sports department plays video games and watches Twitch. I had literally nothing to do for the first week I worked here. New employees are required to stand up in front of the entire company and tell them where they used to work and a fun fact about themselves. I was told by my supervisor, "everyone will judge you based on what you say, so be careful what you say." I've never seen any company do this before and is an introverts worst nightmare.
