Avoid, company has lost its way The company has seen new management come in over the past year for the tech department that has completely stopped all work. Prior to the new management, we would constantly design and ship new features. While the environment was disorganized feeling, and the features not very exciting, things were getting done. The new management came in, put a stop to all work, hired a bunch of friends into VP positions, and attempted to "reorganize" the tech team. What this reorganization meant was having everyone sit around while management thought about what to do. For months we did nothing. When COVID hit, the company immediately fired a third of the staff with no warning. THis put the company into chaos, as no one knew what to do with all of the missing roles, and all the existing systems collapsed. Some employees became completely overloaded with work, while others sat completely idle. Attempts to redistribute work were blocked by management. News was always rosy, and the company was "doing well" until a second round of layoffs, also point blank and with no warning. The layoff procedure was abysmal, with an all hands meeting announced at 8 AM, telling everyone to wait while HR called individuals and fired them on the spot. Immediately all access was cut off, and you were not even allowed to say goodbye to anyone. FOr a company that claims to "foster human connections" they sure treat their employees like commodities. Do not recommend working here, as it seems the management is out to drain all the money from the company on pet projects before it collapses.
